Aldea took over Seniorie Kesterberg in May 2016. Seniorie Aldea Kesterberg, located in rural Leerbeek, had 59 apartments and 72 residents. Aldea has expanded the existing seniorie with 21 new assisted living units, which are spread over three buildings with two floors each.
Seniorie Kesterberg focuses on "person-centred care" and "excellent cuisine".
Seniorie Aldea Kesterberg has a total of 70 assisted living flats, for one or two persons, of which the surface varies from 35 m² to 80 m². Each residential unit is equipped with fire detection, intercom, mobile call system and connection for telephone, TV and internet. All assistance residences consist of: a fully equipped kitchen with the necessary appliances, bedroom, bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower and a spacious living area with terrace/balcony. The combination of the newly built assisted living flats with the current operational site has many advantages. This creates a great synergy in terms of care personnel and permanence. From day one after opening, service and care could be guaranteed 7/7 and 24/24. The workforce was expanded, which benefits job creation in the region. Seniorie Aldea Kesterberg was awarded "Best Care Employer of 2015 and 2016", which achieved the highest score in all 6 categories of the survey.
Each resident can use various common facilities such as a restaurant, lounges, hairdresser, pedicure, grocery service, transport, party room, garden terrace, laundry, leisure and fitness room, indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, physiotherapy, garages and car parks.
