Sprimont gets most innovative health campus in Wallonia
Aldea Group starts building the residential care centre of the future. The Sprimont local authority has given the go-ahead for the extension and renovation of L'Heureux Séjour residential care centre.
Residents at L'Heureux Séjour will live as in a real household. They will help to prepare meals and deliver the mail, work out in the gym or get a treatment in the beauty salon. Even animal care and gardening in the experience garden are possible.
The first project comprises 105 residential care rooms and 5 care flats, with space also for a childcare centre and various multidisciplinary services. A further 72 care flats will be added at a later stage, with the possibility of a further 42 care flats in the future. If everything goes according to plan, the first residents will be able to move in at the beginning of 2023.
"With this expansion, we want to offer a pleasant living environment to more than 200 people who need tailor-made care. The campus focuses on revalidation, care and adapted living. With this offer, our health campus will become one of the largest and most innovative sites in the region. It will undoubtedly be a real added value for the residents of L'Heureux Séjour and the neighbourhood, and will benefit employment in the region."
